Job Description 

The Hayden team is expanding the consulting staff by building a specialized Analytics Lab team focused on furthering Hayden’s analytic capabilities and execution. Analysts will be an integral part of this new team responsible for providing analytic support on consulting projects, executing established analytic methodologies, validating quality of analytic output, and contributing to the development of novel analytics. Successful Analysts are problem solvers and strong critical thinkers who are eager to build analytic skills working with various types of data, including longitudinal data. Analysts typically support consulting projects or internal analytics initiatives and are expected to contribute meaningfully to analyses under the guidance of more senior team members. 

Daily & Monthly Responsibilities 

Analytic & Data Fluency  

  • Navigate and work with known datasets linked to standard analytic modules with support 
  • Execute analytics leveraging SQL, Python, and XLS 
  • Conduct QC (Quality Control) with support and identify dataset and analytic nuances 

Analytic Solution Design 

  • Work with Consulting and Analytics Lab leadership to connect analytic insights to key business questions 
  • Work collaboratively with consulting teams to understand unique analytic requirements and foster alignment 

Analytic Execution & Content Development 

  • Leverage established methods, data fluency, and resources to execute, QC, and deliver accurate standard analytics in support of consulting engagements 
  • Incorporate incremental customization to standard analytic output, with guidance 

Communication & Delivery 

  • Create and deliver clean, well-organized, and QC’d standard analytics deliverables (e.g., Excel workbooks) that detail results, document business rules, and highlight initial insights  
  • Explain analytics methodology and communicate results internally, answering questions posed by the consulting team  

Driving Analytic Methods 

  • Begin to identify opportunities to establish standardization or improve analytic efficiency with respect to existing standard analytics 
  • Support the identification of new tools and methods to expand analytic capabilities or efficiency  

Process Management 

  • Communicate timeline and process updates to internal analytics stakeholders 
  • Foster accountability and performance 
  • Lead with a growth mindset and support a culture of learning

Minimum job requirements 

  • Candidates/employees must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.  
  • Strong academic record (GPA of 3.5+). We strongly encourage applicants who have demonstrated improvement over time to apply as well. 
  • A bachelor’s degree or more from a 4-year institution 
  • A data-driven problem solver and strong critical thinker 
  • Interest in learning more about Biopharma, US healthcare systems, and the life sciences industry 
  • Team-oriented individual who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively  
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and quantitative skills  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstration of literacy in SQL; experience in Python is a plus 
  • Driven and adventurous, ready to take risks and use previous experiences and unique perspectives to grow Hayden 

Compensation: Your expected annual compensation for this level for base and bonus is between $88,000 to $92,000. In addition to your base salary and annual bonus, employer 401k match, and significant performance incentive awards which occur at time of promotion.  Hayden considers many factors in our compensation decisions which include but are not limited to the following: individual skills set/job performance, organization and industry demand, individual experience level and training, and geographic location.
