As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
- Lead data collection, aggregation, and assurance processes for ESG reporting, including GRESB, sustainability report, financed emissions, mandatory regulatory reporting, and corporate footprint reporting across Oxford’s global portfolio. This includes data governance and internal controls.
- Maintain and enhance Oxford’s ESG data platform (Measurabl), ensuring data integrity, technical functionality, and integration with internal data pipelines.
- Develop and deploy tools and protocols to embed ESG performance into operations, including tracking sustainability action plans.
- Build and optimize ESG dashboards in Power BI to generate actionable insights, integrate ESG metrics into reporting frameworks, and improve usability for diverse stakeholders.
- Coordinate with third-party consultants on ESG-related initiatives and reporting requirements.
- Identify data trends and generate meaningful insights and opportunities for asset managers, leveraging ESG data analytics and dashboards to inform operational strategies and enhance portfolio performance.
- Prepare internal and external materials related to key sustainability projects and initiatives.
- Support property teams and portfolio managers in delivering carbon targets and implementing Oxford’s ESG Framework across the global portfolio.
To succeed in this role, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree in relevant field, professional designation or industry certifications / accreditations is considered an asset (e.g. P.Eng., CEA, CEM, CMVP, CCP, CFA ESG Certificate, GHG Protocol training, etc.)
- 3–6 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental data management, ideally within real estate or investment sectors.
- Hands-on experience with ESG data platforms (e.g., Measurabl, EnergyStar Portfolio Manager, Envizi, Sphera, Brightly, etc.) and ESG reporting frameworks (GRESB, GRI, TCFD).
- Experience with internal controls, assurance processes and data governance
- Advanced expertise in data analytics and visualization tools, especially Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, and custom visuals) and Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and automation).
- Strong capability in data management and engineering, including:
- Designing and maintaining data pipelines for ESG metrics.
- Integrating multiple data sources (internal systems, ESG platforms, APIs) into centralized reporting environments.
- Ensuring data integrity, validation, and quality assurance across large, complex datasets.
- Experience with data governance principles, metadata management, and scalable architecture for ESG reporting.
- Familiarity with carbon accounting, net-zero strategies, and green power procurement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and coordination of complex initiatives with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
