In brief, you will be responsible for:
A Capacity Planner is responsible for ensuring that a transportation network has sufficient transportation capacity to meet customer and internal demand.
This role typically involves analyzing data on transportation volumes, identifying trends and patterns, set up the routing guide in OTM and SAP, and developing strategies to optimize capacity utilization.
A Capacity Planner works closely with other teams, such as Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and Supply chain management, to ensure that transportation capacity is aligned with business needs.
Main responsibilities:
Manage carrier allocation and capacity across Kraft Heinz's network, ensuring seamless alignment with customer demand and internal requirements.
Foster collaborative relationships with carriers through negotiations, ensuring contracted capacity and shipment commitments are consistently met across all lanes.
Conduct weekly rate analyses and mode optimization reports, identifying and addressing lanes with excessive costs, and prioritizing intermodal movements to drive efficiency within intra-Kraft Heinz shipments
Secure and negotiate spot rates with carriers for special projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
Carrier selection and onboarding processes through RFP initiatives, aimed at optimizing carrier networks and reducing costs across all lanes. Annual Bid and Mini Bids.
Identify Gaps in transportation capacity and initiate accurate measures with the Transportation Capacity Planning team.
Daily interaction with off-site carriers and on-site carrier partners to resolve service and capacity issues with critical issues to management as needed.
Identify opportunities across Transportation network & activities to enable service & cost improvement
Troubleshoot orders from a capacity planning standpoint, checking that OTM is properly set up so the TOC can plan the orders.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
2+ years of Transportation & Logistics experience, ideally in FMCG / food & beverage / CPG, with increasing scope and ownership
Strong knowledge of transportation execution and upstream/downstream dependencies (planning, customer/service impacts, warehouse interfaces)
Proficiency in transportation systems and visibility tools (TMS, OTM, SAP, 4Kites), with the ability to troubleshoot data/process issues across ERP/TMS/WMS flows
Demonstrated ability to create continuous improvement and operational excellence using data (e.g., root cause analysis, KPI tracking, standard work), with clear examples of cost, service, or productivity impact
Strong stakeholder communication skills, including influencing business partners and driving alignment across carriers, customer groups, and internal teams.
