What you’ll do:

We are seeking an energetic Fintech Reporting Analyst to join the Capital Markets division at Customers Bank. In this role, you will develop a wide range of visualizations and tabular reports to support both the Capital Markets and Consumer Lending businesses, contributing to the management of a ~$2B portfolio of committed assets across the embedded consumer finance landscape. Example sub-verticals within our coverage include home improvement financing, elective dental procedure installment receivables, and debt consolidation loans.

The primary focus of this role is twofold: producing tactical, one-off analyses that drive key business decisions, and developing strategic, long-term reporting that informs leadership on business performance. You will work across multiple data sources and reporting tools to generate insights while ensuring high levels of data accuracy and integrity.

This position also offers the opportunity to serve as the in-business lead for the Consumer Lending team’s self-service business intelligence stack. We are active users of PowerBI, Azure cloud services, and MSSQL. In this capacity, the role will act as a critical interface between the team’s day-to-day analytical needs and the broader data, IT, and infrastructure functions at Customers Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Create new and execute existing reporting as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

  • Monitoring and improvements of existing reporting in Fabric, as well as publishing new reporting as needed.

  • Creation of new Fabric datasets to support others within the business unit.

  • Adapt to working with new data sources, partners, products, or processes within a dynamic and evolving team.

  • Provide analytical support for various projects within the Capital Markets and Consumer Lending divisions, contributing to decision-making and business growth.

  • Help operate our business intelligence stack, assisting in the design and rollout of key management dashboards

What do you need?

  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience with relational databases or core business intelligence concepts.

  • Knowledge of consumer lending, financial services, and/or debt fixed income is preferred.

  • Expertise with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Sisense, MicroStrategy, etc.).

  • A deep enthusiasm for detail, including the ability to drill into every layer of the assets being analyzed—from how promissory notes are executed to the mechanics of applying late borrower payments.

  • Willingness to dive deeply into datasets across multiple partners to understand all aspects of loan behavior from origination through maturity.

  • Strong execution skills, with a willingness to work hands-on and take full ownership to ensure responsibilities within scope are completed thoroughly and accurately.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a hybrid, distributed team spanning multiple time zones and states.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, IEOR, or a related STEM/business field; alternatively, 3 additional years of equivalent professional experience. Candidates with other degrees will also be considered.
