Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Your role

You will work in the dealing room of ING in Amsterdam, as part of Client Solutions Group (“CSG”) Rates EMEA Corporates, a highly specialized team within Financial Markets Sales. Client Solutions Group is a global team (with presence in dealing rooms of Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, and New York), that works together with various local corporate and institutional sales teams in driving client engagement and delivering new or enhanced FM products to our clients. CSG consists of product specialists (rates, FX, commodities and equity) and area specialists (Project Finance, Debt Capital Markets, M&A).

Your key responsibilities

• Provide support to senior team members and origination sales colleagues across EMEA in analysing, developing, marketing, structuring and executing interest rates related derivatives transactions
• Analyse and prepare risk management and hedging related presentation material to pitch solutions to our clients
• Analyse and prepare risk management/analytics presentations to have meaningful dialogues with our clients
• Provide support to senior team members in delivering on strategic projects as well as improving/automating existing processes

As an Analyst at FM CSG Rates, you will also need:

• A university degree in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA, or strong quantitative studies
• Strong knowledge of financial markets products (swaps, forwards, options, preferably in various asset classes); knowledge on hedge accounting, yield enhancement products, nonlinear credits, project finance and financial risk management is considered a plus
• Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills. Affinity with legal documentation is a plus
• Excellent command of English, Dutch and/or French considered a plus
• Strong presentation skills (creating PowerPoint pitches and presenting)
• Broad understanding of the different facets of FM products delivery from the commercial aspects to the market risk, finance/accounting, legal and operational aspects
• Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize accordingly
• Entrepreneurial and commercial drive, natural can-do attitude
• Eager to learn and share knowledge with colleagues
