TD's Investment Banking team is a leading global franchise with >500 professionals in North America, Europe and Asia.  

Opportunity Overview: 

We are seeking an Analyst to join our European Mining investment banking team in London, which is a part of TD's Global Mining franchise. The London-based Mining team is primarily responsible for coverage of mining clients in Europe, but also actively collaborates with global colleagues. 

This role demands technical aptitude, intellectual curiosity, creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and team-focused mindset.  

Primary Responsibilities (Including but not limited to): 

• Conduct financial modelling, valuation analyses, due diligence for M&A and capital raising transactions with increasing independence. 

• Prepare marketing materials, pitch books, and client presentations.
• Research and analyze clients' financial reporting, industry, and market data and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights. 
• Assist senior team members with idea generation and in all phases of M&A transaction execution including ownership of discrete workstreams. 

• Work proactively across multiple product groups and geographies. 

• Monitor trends across the Mining sector to support in deal origination and pitching.

Key Qualifications and Skills: 

• 2:1 or above degree (or equivalent) university qualification 

• At least 6 – 12 months of relevant work experience in investment banking or a related field

• Experience in and / or knowledge of the Mining and / or Natural Resources sectors

• Demonstrated experience with relevant financial modelling and valuation work  

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under time pressure 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization, including external stakeholders
