Responsibilities

The individual’s primary responsibility will be to work as part of the Oaktree’s valuation team and assist with valuation of portfolio assets within Oaktree’s private credit, private equity funds and other funds in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

  • Assist in performing valuations as a part of the quarterly/monthly/daily portfolio valuation process.

  • Assist with the coordination and administration of the private valuation function, such as interacting with accounting/marketing/legal departments, external auditors, and valuation firms.

  • Manage multiple internal and external data collection workflows, updating templates/reports.

  • Assist with research and analysis projects and assist with other ad hoc projects.

  • Analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Support audits and due diligence processes by providing required financial analyses and documentation.


Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of valuation experience within valuation/appraisal, Big 4, or another financial advisory firm.

  • Solid understanding of core valuation concepts, financial analysis, and accounting principles.

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.

  • Ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, and self-initiating other value-added tasks.

  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial modeling is a plus.

  • Capable of delivering high-quality work promptly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in debt/equity valuations for the US and/or UK private credit market is ideal.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree, in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree a plus. CFA holder a plus
