Purpose of the Position 

Pantheon Ventures is a global private markets investor with $119.6bn of assets under management and advice (Q325). Pantheon has invested in private markets for 40+ years and operates a global platform with 549 staff and 142 investment professionals across 12 offices worldwide. The firm serves ~1000+ client relationships globally and brings scale through deep manager coverage and experience.

Pantheon invests across private equity, infrastructure and private credit with discretionary AUM of $44bn, $27bn, and $10bn respectively. The Global Infrastructure team of 35 individuals are in London, New York, San Francisco & Singapore. The Investment Analyst/Associate will support the Global Infrastructure Investment team across deal execution (GP-led secondaries, LP portfolio secondaries, co-investments, and primary fund selection), portfolio monitoring and asset management.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Interrogate and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investments (including discount cash flow, project finance and LBO analyses as relevant)
  • Support due diligence by reviewing materials, undertaking sector and market work, and coordinating input from advisors and internal specialists
  • Prepare clear investment materials for internal committees, including investment theses, downside cases, sensitivities and key risks and mitigants
  • Support transaction execution, including process management, data room work, Q&A tracking, and support through legal documentation and closing
  • Support monitoring of existing investments and underlying managers, including quarterly updates, KPI tracking and portfolio analytics
  • Represent the team professionally with GPs, advisers and other counterparties, including attendance at meetings and industry events where appropriate
  • Contribute to fundraising and client reporting materials, responding to investor and consultant requests in a timely and accurate manner

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • 2-5 years’ relevant experience, hiring at Analyst or Associate level depending on candidate experience and prior exposure
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, renewables, utilities, digital infrastructure, transport, or broader private markets investing, corporate finance, advisory, or asset management
  • Strong financial modelling capability, including building and auditing models from scratch, structuring sensitivities, and producing clean, decision-ready outputs
  • Strong understanding of valuation and deal mechanics, including drivers of returns, financing structures, and key diligence workstreams
  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance, ideally in a numerate discipline; relevant professional qualification progress (eg ACA, CFA) is beneficial but not required
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, with strong attention to detail and a high standard of formatting and presentation
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required
