Target Assets Protection- Central Operations

Assets Protection Central Operations team supports our field Assets Protections partners through a culture of mindfulness around safety and security while preventing and responding to incidents that fall within our many areas of expertise.  These include theft, safety and process oversight instances which require deep domain expertise in these areas, providing clarification to questions from the field team members, reviewing videos on possible instances of internal and external thefts in our stores, receiving bays, and upstream distribution centers.

As an Operations and Business Analyst - TII Assets protection Operation team, supporting the Centralized Support team for both internal/external thefts and Field Assets Protection.

  • Analyze large datasets from AP operations to uncover trends, diagnose inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven solutions that improve business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with teams across AP Operations, Data, Engineering, and product to identify process gaps and define improvement opportunities.
  • Lead process mapping sessions and workshops with business partners to capture current workflows, identify pain points, and recommend optimized designs.
  • Use a combination of data-driven analysis and business acumen to provide actionable recommendations that support key initiatives and performance goals.
  • Design, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to establish consistent, efficient, and sustainable processes across the organization.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly scorecards and performance metrics to track progress against goals.
  • Lead forecasting and resource planning reports to ensure peak operational readiness.
  • Develop and maintain capacity, utilization, and productivity reports to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate with MPLS partners to review, calibrate, and update operational process reports for improved consistency and performance.

Core Skills

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ experience in retail, operations, Assets Protection
  • Relevant business knowledge, Understanding of Retail and Store operations
  • Advanced data analysis and visualization (e.g., SQL, R)
  • Statistical and process improvement methods
  • Process mapping and optimization
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration
  • Strong verbal and written communication
