Reporting directly to the Accounting & Reporting Manager, you as an Analyst II, Accounting & Reporting will be responsible for supporting the preparation, analysis, and accuracy of financial statements, accounting records, and financial reporting deliverables within the Shared Service Center environment. You will ensure compliance with internal policies, US GAAP, and regulatory requirements while providing analytical support to management and contributing to the continuous improvement of Record to Report (R2R) processes.
You will participate in monthly and annual close activities, execute critical R2R transactions for multiple entities and plants, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional global teams, support audit requirements, and serve as a technical reference within the Shared Services structure.
Execute critical Record to Report (R2R) activities for multiple entities and manufacturing plants.
Prepare and post complex journal entries, accruals, provisions, amortizations, and reclassifications.
Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate and comply with monthly and annual corporate close calendars under strict deadlines.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and related submodules.
Determine and record intercompany invoices and transactions.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial variance analysis.
Provide advanced SAP FI/CO support and validate accounting information from manufacturing plants.
Resolve accounting incidents related to cost centers, internal orders, GL accounts, and integrations.
Develop advanced financial analysis in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and large data set management.
Automate recurring R2R reports and ensure consistency between SAP data and financial reporting outputs.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, US GAAP, and SOX requirements (as applicable).
Support internal and external audits and follow up on action plans.
Act as a technical reference for R2R processes within the Shared Service Center.
Support and review junior analyst activities when required.
Coordinate effectively with global teams including AP, AR, FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting.
Participate in standardization initiatives, SOP documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Serve as back-up for the R2R Lead when required.
Location: Querétaro, Mexico (Shared Service Center). Selected candidate may attend approximately one month of training in Piedras Negras. Current scheme is remote, with expectation of on-site presence in Querétaro when required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in General Accounting or Record to Report processes.
Experience in manufacturing and Shared Services environments.
Experience managing multiple entities or plants.
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS is a plus).
Advanced SAP FI/CO knowledge (required).
Advanced Excel skills (required).
English level: Intermediate to advanced (spoken, written, and reading).
Desirable certifications such as CPA, CMA, postgraduate studies, or accounting diploma.
