The Role and Impact:

As an Analog Circuit Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal circuit technologies that drive Intel's most advanced process nodes. In this position, you will design, validate, and optimize analog circuits and foundational IP blocks that form a critical part of Intel's CPU and SoC products. Your work will directly impact Intel's ability to deliver high-performance, power-efficient, and scalable solutions to meet evolving industry demands. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help define and enable design innovations while contributing to advancements that shape the future of semiconductor technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop analog circuits and mixed-signal IPs, including floorplanning, circuit extraction, and analog behavior modeling.
  • Optimize circuit designs for power, performance, area, timing, and yield metrics.
  • Create and execute test plans to verify circuit functionality and validate microarchitecture specifications.
  • Simulate circuits and evaluate test results to ensure compliance with design goals.
  • Collaborate with architecture, layout, and process development teams to address design, performance, and circuit reliability challenges.
  • Deliver high-quality PDK library components and ensure timely releases by coordinating across internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Support ESD protection needs in alignment with IO design performance requirements.
  • Implement state-of-the-art automation solutions and ensure test coverage across diverse IP and SoC scenarios.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field with 4+ years of experience. OR
  • Master's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience. OR
  • Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field with 0 years of experience.

The qualifications listed below must meet the required years of experience associated with the candidate’s degree level:

  • Expertise in analog or mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, or validation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CMOS technologies or device physics fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing high-performance analog components such as TX/RX blocks, ADCs/DACs, clock distribution circuits, inductors, and transmission lines.
  • Proficiency in AMS component optimization and machine learning techniques as applied to design engineering problems.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C/C++, or shell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of Linux OS environments for design and simulation workflows.
  • Familiarity with test chip development, floorplanning, and test methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ESD protection schemes, silicon characterization, and simulation correlation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within team-based environments.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $122,440.00-232,190.00 USD
