Ambulette Driver– LACP Lima
Job Summary:
The Ambulette Driver is responsible for safe non-emergency transportation of ambulatory and wheelchair passengers to and from destinations for health care related services. The driver will observe all safe driving guidelines in full compliance with all road and vehicle laws as well as the standards and protocols developed for this non-emergency service. This also involves keeping the unit in good repair with timely notification of any repairs needed. The unit will be kept clean and presented in a professional manner. Further, the driver must interact with passengers on a friendly basis. Remains calm in any unexpected emergency situation and performs CPR and/or basic first-aid as needed. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on assigned unit.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Licensure/Certification:
Valid driver’s license in state of practice (required)
DOT physical certificate and CPR with First Aid course required before hire in SC based on state requirements for licensed wheelchair transport services
Experience:
One year of acceptable driving record as outlined by hiring organization.
