Role: Amazon Connect SME

Description:

You will be a key member of our Platform Engineering team, driving the architecture and delivery of solutions in Application Development, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning. You will leverage your expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and Amazon Connect to design and deploy scalable, secure, and intelligent contact center solutions for enterprise clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Architect and deploy AWS-based infrastructures from the ground up or migrate workloads from on-premises/other clouds to AWS.
  • Design, configure, and optimize Amazon Connect contact center solutions, integrating them with AWS services and third-party platforms.
  • Implement custom flows, Lambda integrations, and AI/ML-assisted routing within Amazon Connect for enhanced customer experience.
  • Build and manage enterprise-grade infrastructures using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or GitLab.
  • Oversee secure access configurations, compliance, and cost optimization within multi-account AWS environments.
  • Lead Kubernetes/EKS-based deployments, including Helm/Kustomize packaging, autoscaling, and observability.
  • Build and maintain hybrid and multi-cloud network topologies using VPN, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway.
  • Maintain security posture through IAM roles and policies, RBAC enforcement, and continuous monitoring.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Deep understanding of AWS services such as VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SSM, SQS, SNS, KMS, RDS, EKS, and ECR.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect administration, call flow design, contact attributes, real-time metrics, and integration with AWS services (Lex, Polly, Kinesis, DynamoDB).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Java, Scala) and automation frameworks (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS architecture, autoscaling, and application packaging.
  • Skilled in IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK for provisioning reproducible environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) for modern DevOps practices.
  • Advanced understanding of cloud network configurations, DNS setups, and Direct Connect.
  • Applied knowledge of AWS security best practices and compliance requirements.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Amazon Connect reporting, workforce management integrations, and real-time monitoring dashboards.
  • Prior experience integrating Contact Center AI solutions (such as Amazon Lex bots or AWS Comprehend) into customer workflows.
  • Proficiency with database systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and performance tuning.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Connect Specialist.
  • Exposure to Agile and DevOps working environments.
