What are we looking for?

State Street Alpha Service product team is seeking a versatile individual in a Vice President role with strong product development, product life cycle management and business analysis skills who will be responsible for working with clients and development to create solutions to improve the client experience, the product feature set, and the strategic position of the Inkind Transfer Portal. This qualified individual will develop and deliver product features aligned with our Inkind Transfer services product roadmap, will collaborate with product implementation and data integrations for the success in product execution and adoption.  This candidate will focus on end to end Alpha product solutions specifically the Alpha Inkind Transfer Portal products, participating in the full software development lifecycle and contributing as a member of a feature-focused product development team. They must be familiar with both financial and technical concepts, with a strong ability to deliver against specific requirements in a timely fashion on a feature by feature basis.

The successful candidate must be skilled in analyzing our complex business service flows across front, middle, and back office operating models for our Alpha Clients, with a focus on cash management and liquidity support services. They will also be driving the strategic solution design, business architecture, and business solutions/services while driving program/project execution and reporting.

What you will be responsible for?

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape and generate innovative product ideas and concepts that address key market opportunities and challenges supporting Alpha cash service.
  • Establish strong partnerships with internal stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Technology, product implementation,  other product development service family and E2E architecture teams to influence and coordinate cross-functional business solutions and products, in support of client and business goals.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to support product demand opportunities as part of product strategy and development.
  • Possess strong knowledge of front-to-back Investment management/Investment services with focus on user digital experience.
  • Work with business and technology partners to establish clear connections between business goals, strategies, and the data and technology investments required to achieve them
  • Communicates recommendations to management/senior Alpha business leaders through effective written and oral communication.

What we value?

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • 8+ years of development lifecycle experience, particularly Agile methodologies preferred
  • Creation of business process flows and defining the business problem, solution, and design using various tools.
  • Proven experience with business requirements analysis to meet critical business needs, must display an ability to drive tasks through to completion.
  • Experience with design and optimization of user experience across different interfaces to maximize engagement and adoption
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically with a focus on achieving outcomes. - Experience with writing features/requirements.
  • Proven related financial services experience. Good understanding of State Street businesses.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Operations processes and procedures and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL, MS Office Products; MS Access, Visio; Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated excellence in business writing, development of business process flow diagrams, making comparisons regarding current and future processes, and effective communication.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis, Operations, or Product management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
