We're looking for a candidate to take on the role of Senior Data Solutions Architect supporting pre-sales due diligence and implementation solution oversight for EMEA region.

What you will be responsible for

  • Be the face of the ADS organization to take the client’s Chief Data Architect and Data teams through the Alpha journey/adoption. Provide thought leadership to the client during the due diligence and through the entire implementation journey by understanding the Alpha architecture and client’s architecture.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end solutioning of Front-to-Back ("F2B”) Alpha Data Platform (“ADP”)/ADS solutions to the client, starting with helping with precontract due diligence and client presentations, documenting Target Data Solution Architecture and Future State Operating model of Data services, Solution Design. Will manage the data solutioning and shared ownership of client delivery with Alpha Data Implementation team in EMEA region.
  • Collaborate with upstream application and system owners within State Street to expand existing data solution and represent Alpha Data Solution Architecture on Alpha Services Design Council.
  • Design and execution of process engineering to ‘bring to life’ the data solution encompassing data flows from multiple sources to target client consumption layer.
  • Identify ADP product and data service gaps and partner with Product and Service Practice managers to solution the gaps and propose interim or tactical solutions.
  • Partner with broader State Street Application/Service Owners to provide solutions in support of any new client requirements that are extension of the standard set of services or in some select cases a client specific bespoke data solution.
  • Collaborating with all internal technical and business teams including GTS, SaaS Ops, Alpha Cloud Ops, Alpha Platform Engineering, Alpha Product, ADS Implementation, Alpha Data Ops and clients to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Client Implementation Executives and Leads to align on the Alpha implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors as needed for a given client implementation, this will include vendors like Bloomberg, Refinitive, MSCI, Factset, Axioma etc.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all channels and levels of recipients including team members, colleagues, clients at all levels including C suite.
  • Experience in leading pre-sales or being key contributor as part of deal pursuit team for data solutions and services.
  • Experience in designing and implementing relational data models for a variety of data sets which include audit, time series, complex relationships, and high-volume
  • Experience and understanding of system performance and profiling techniques of complex data model for storage and consumption
  • Support a culture of commitment, teamwork and productivity alongside diversity and work life balance.
  • Ability to rationalize problems and use judgment and innovation to define clear and concise solutions
  • Extensive experience with Financial Services data domains – Security Master, Entity Master, Benchmarks, Positions, Transactions, Cash, Performance, Analytics, ESG etc.
  • Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, Data Observability, Service Catalogue, Data Lineage tools, Operational Dashboards, Process Monitoring tools
  • Working knowledge in Azure / AWS cloud platforms with Snowflake and Databricks is a huge plus
  • Knowledge about internal and external integrations, triage issues and implement/recommend solutions to data problems and anomalies.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of application of Machine Learning and AI in Data Management within Financial services is a plus.
  • Prior experience with State Street and Charles River Development (CRD), Blackrock Aladdin or other OMS is considered a plus

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in the field of computer science, data management or other financial services technical field
  • 20 years in data management, data architecture, product and market data roles and responsibilities
