Job Description Summary

State Street’s Alpha Operations team is looking for an analyst in Alpha Data Operations team in India. Alpha Data Operations is the Global Data Management team supporting global clients within investment industry for daily support in the Production and CUAT environment.

As Alpha Data Operations Analyst you will

  • Deliver Accurate and Timely Data
    Ensure all client data is delivered on schedule, with precision, and within agreed scope.
  • Serve as a Process and Platform SME
    Act as the subject matter expert for processes and platforms; perform root cause analysis of data issues and provide clear resolutions for queries and requests.
  • Support Testing and Transition Phases
    Participate in internal and client testing prior to go-live, manage post-production transitions, and continuously improve live processes.
  • Collaborate Across Functions
    Work closely with Implementation, Service Management, and IT teams to share best practices, resolve issues, and standardize global processes.
  • End-to-End Data Validation & Enrichment
    Ensure accurate data validation and enrichment between multiple systems to maintain data integrity.
  • SQL Query Development
    Build and optimize queries independently to identify breaks, improve performance, and enhance process efficiency.
  • Data Interface & Connectivity Expertise

Maintain a clear understanding of data interfaces and connectivity to resolve issues and ensure smooth BAU deliveries.

  • Industry knowledge, experience in Middle Office Operations, Transaction Management, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, Performance & Analytics, etc. will be an advantage
  • Strong SQL knowledge, hands-on experience with database/data warehouse
  • Strong Data analytics / Software development background and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to details, problem solving, and decision making
  • “Can do” attitude

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience in working with Product and Technology teams to provide requirements for automation initiatives
