Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a high performing Airplane Systems Integration Engineering Senior Manager (Level L) within the MPE Airplane Systems Integration organization based in Everett, WA

Position Overview:

This Senior leader will be responsible for driving technical leadership, workforce strategy, and operational excellence across a multi-program engineering environment. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Engineering & Organizational Leadership:

  • Lead and coordinate Airplane Systems skill team activities across multiple airplane programs

  • Partner with FCE office for alignment on strategic direction for Airplane Systems

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise policies, engineering standards, and program priorities

  • Represent the organization in cross-functional and enterprise-level engineering forums

Workforce Strategy & Talent Management:

  • Oversee workforce planning, staffing, and hiring decisions

  • Partner with HR on performance management, development, and retention initiatives

  • Lead skill team planning, including capability development and succession planning

  • Support leadership development programs

Program Execution & Business Operations:

  • Lead program financial budgeting risk reviews and support demand planning activities

  • Coordinate functional and program-level supply/demand reviews

  • Drive improvements in workforce planning tools and processes

Strategy & Governance:

  • Lead development and execution of global Airplane Systems strategy

  • Align workforce planning and engineering priorities with long-term business goals

  • Review and approve work plans to ensure alignment with organizational objectives

Data, Analytics & Digital Transformation:

  • Define and oversee development of performance metrics, dashboards, and analytics

  • Drive data-informed decision-making across engineering operations

  • Lead strategy and implementation of digital tools and AI/ML solutions

Process & Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop and manage budgets related to tools and digital initiatives

  • Drive standardization and process improvements across engineering teams

  • Champion operational excellence and efficiency

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in airplane systems engineering or similar role

  • 2+ years of management experience leading engineering teams

  • Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in engineering challenges.

  • Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to all stakeholders.

  • Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.

Summary Pay Range:

$182,000 - $246,000
