Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Mid-Level (Level 3), Senior (Level 4), or Principal (Level 5) 737 MAX Development Airworthiness and Regulatory Engineer to join our Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) organization. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level, Senior, and Principal 737 MAX Development Airworthiness and Regulatory Engineers. This position is in Renton, WA or Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the development of issue papers
  • Assessing certification plans Developing certification approaches/strategies with the Federal Aviation Authorities (FAA), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and technical focal across the enterprise
  • Assisting in the development of technical briefs for domestic and foreign regulators Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Renton, WA or Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 5: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working 14 CFR Part 25 and EASA CS-25 aspects
  • Experience with regulatory agencies' procedures and process

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Knowledge of integration, verification, and certification processes
  • Knowledge of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs)

Summary Pay Range:

  • Mid-Level (Level 3): $114,750 - $155,250
  • Senior (Level 4): $141,100 - $190,900
  • Principle (Level 5): $170,850 - $231,150
