Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULICS SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPV, Position Description Number D0802000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Military Grades: E-6 to E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: Must be able to obtain 2A6X4 AFSC GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must have experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Stoops, bends, stretches and works in cramped, tiring, uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts equipment and parts weighing approximately 20 pounds and occasionally items weighing up to 50 pounds. Pushes heavy jacks and test stands. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and outside, exposed to weather, toxic fumes, dirt, grease and hydraulic fluids. Exposed to danger of injury by fluids subject to high pressure; falling from aircraft, work stands, or slips on oily floors; falling object; cuts, shocks, strains, or skin and eye irritations; and high intensity and higher frequency sound waves.
