AirCover Senior Program Management & Planning Lead

The Community You Will Join: 

The AirCover team is charged with ideating, building, launching, and managing the AirCover business inside of Airbnb. We have a huge responsibility to our community of Hosts and guests to be there when things don’t go exactly as planned with their bookings. We have a lot of work to do in the coming years to deliver best-in-class services to our community and we are looking for someone who will help us plan, manage, and drive critical projects and frameworks necessary for AirCover’s success.

A Typical Day: 

Framework Development

• Build and refine frameworks for program management and planning across AirCover.
• Reengineer existing project management processes to meet future needs.
• Develop project/program plans and readiness trackers for multiple, business-critical initiatives.

Planning Execution

• Lead and manage ongoing planning activities for the AirCover business.
• Track the execution progress throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Stand up and lead meeting series with cross-functional partners to track, drive, and complete work.

Strategic Program Leadership

• Independently manage and deliver large, cross-functional projects of notable risk and complexity.
• Drive high-impact projects and contribute to the development of strategy through creative analysis and broad working experience.
• Identify root causes of complex problems, determine business priorities, and form groups to resolve issues swiftly.

Your Expertise:

• 12+ years of experience in planning and program management
• Experience with paid insurance offers offered online, preferred
• PMP certification or similar, preferred
• Demonstrated success independently managing and delivering large, complex projects with broad, cross-functional reach and influence.
• Expert in project management and planning  tools such as Asana, AirTable, and Google Suite, and adept at designing and reengineering frameworks for project and program execution.
• Proactively develops and sustains effective relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, negotiating and influencing at all levels, including VP and executive audiences.
• Exceptional communicator, able to craft and deliver compelling narratives, persuade senior leaders, and generate buy-in for strategic initiatives.
• Confident leading meeting series with cross-functional partners; fosters inclusion, belonging, and talent development across teams.
• Familiarity with Google Suite & Keynote
• Attentive to detail and obsessed with sharing new ways to optimize the work our team does
• Active listener, attentive to all viewpoints, and skilled at guiding teams toward consensus and decisive action, even under ambiguity or pressure.
• Quickly identifies root causes of complex, ambiguous challenges; determines business priorities and mobilizes teams to resolve issues decisively.
• Strong desire to operate in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
• Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments; decisive when required and willing to escalate trade-off discussions for swift resolution, ensuring issues do not linger.
• Negotiates and influences key stakeholders internally and externally.
• Provides authoritative advice in specialty areas and helps structure management decision making.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
