Job Description:
Airbus Upnext is launching a new cross divisional demonstrator that will deliver strategic outputs to all Airbus divisions. It will help reinforcing knowledge and capacity to propose disruptive and differentiating avionics architecture and advanced awareness sensors to enrich Airbus Helicopters future products.
Following initial exploration from VERTEX and other UpNext demonstrators, sense & avoidance technologies such as cameras and LiDARs as well as aircraft robust positioning even in case of GPS loss will be further developed up to high level of maturity for helicopter use. Those technologies will be used to increase the crew's awareness of the environment through a novel Human Machine Interface, better adapted to new on-board technologies.
This job is based in Marignane, comes with limited contract (CDI-C) linked to the deliverable of the demonstrator (end of June 2028), starrting ASAP.

As Software development Leader (m/f), you organize and dispatch the tasks to the software developer team, control the progress, the respect of the procedure. You guide them, you boost them !

You are accountable of the technobrick(s) maturation up scaling and the formal assessment and passionated and impatient about putting methods and processes in place to achieve your targets. You are the type of person who thinks about “how things can be done” rather than “if they can be done”.

Your Boarding Pass:
Engineering degree with an innovation flavor
You have more than 10 years of experience in helicopters avionics SW development
You are a natural technical leader, able to lead a team of SW developers towards results exceeding standard
Write high quality structured bare metal and Linux-based software for embedded processors (e.g. ARM)
Embedded software developer mastering : C/C++ & Rust programming languages, Fluency in POSIX shell script and Python, GPU programming language, Experience writing Linux kernel code, Low level driver interface (camera, uart, arinc429, CAN, publish/subscribe protocol), Library (OpenCV, cuda, ROS, PCL, Wampcc), Continuous integration & delivery (Docker, Jenkins), version control system (Git, SVN).
Knowledge of AGILE-Scrums methodology is mandatory
Negotiation level in French & English is required
This position will require some business travel to Toulouse
