The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled AI/ML Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an enterprise User Experience Management (UXM) initiative focused on transforming IT telemetry into predictive operational intelligence. This role designs and implements machine learning models within the Data Integration Platform (DIP) to enable anomaly detection, root cause analysis, service health prediction, and automated decision support across Air Force digital environments.
The SME will work closely with data engineers, analysts, platform architects, cybersecurity teams, and IT operators to operationalize AI-driven insights for proactive enterprise IT management.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy ML models for UXM use cases (anomaly detection, performance forecasting, experience scoring, root cause analysis)
- Develop feature engineering pipelines from logs, metrics, traces, and endpoint telemetry
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into the Data Integration Platform (DIP) architecture and operational dashboards
- Build and validate MVP models supporting AoA outcomes and UXM operational readiness
- Implement MLOps pipelines (training, validation, deployment, monitoring)
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure RMF-compliant model deployment
- Translate model outputs into actionable insights for IT operators and leadership
- Support dashboard specification, analytics requirements, and operational reporting
- DAF Client Collaboration: Proactively collaborate with the DAF to understand their software landscape, installation details, licensing requirements, and specific needs related to the assigned software publishers and products
- Project Contribution: Actively participate in project meetings, providing updates on modeling progress, identifying potential challenges, and contributing to the overall success of the project
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance
- 15+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI (with at least 3 years in operational or enterprise environments)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Python-based ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or equivalent)
- Time-series analytics and anomaly detection
- ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data platforms
- SQL and large-scale datasets
- Experience deploying models into production environments
- Familiarity with observability, ITOM, or UXM telemetry sources
- Prioritization and Management: Ability to prioritize and manage collecting information and modeling multiple publishers and products, while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality work
Desired:
- Prior DoD or federal IT program experience
- Experience with MLOps frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of UXM, IT operations analytics, or digital experience monitoring
- Experience working in RMF-controlled environments
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid AI deployments
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with the DAF, internal teams, and external vendors
Certifications (One or More Required):
- CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570/8140 compliant)

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,600 - $208,000
