Our challenge
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead AI/ML Engineer with over 12 years of experience to spearhead the design and implementation of large-scale, strategic AI solutions. In this leadership role, candidate will guide the company’s AI vision, architect enterprise-wide scalable machine learning systems, and influence technological innovation. Candidate will also mentor senior technical teams and collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape our AI roadmap.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta, GA is $135k - $145k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Architect and oversee the development of scalable, enterprise-grade ML systems that handle complex data and model requirements.
- Develop and refine advanced statistical models to address intricate business challenges.
- Lead the deployment of models into production environments, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design and implement REST API integrations for seamless model deployment and accessibility.
- Provide strategic leadership on AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and technological goals.
- Drive innovation by adopting and implementing cutting-edge frameworks such as Transformers and LLMs.
- Stay ahead of trends in NLP, deep learning, and AI research to inform the organization’s strategic initiatives.
- Mentor, coach, and lead multi-disciplinary teams of AI/ML engineers and data scientists.
- Collaborate with executive teams to define AI strategy, investment, and roadmap.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines.
- 12+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, architecture, or leadership.
- Proven track record of deploying large-scale AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Extensive experience in designing scalable ML architectures at an enterprise level.
- Deep expertise in advanced statistical modeling techniques.
- Proven success in model development, deployment, and scaling.
- Strong experience integrating AI models via REST APIs in production environments.
- Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), deep learning, and transformer-based models.
- Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms such as AWS SageMaker or Azure AI.
- Demonstrated leadership in AI strategy and innovation, influencing organizational AI roadmap.
- Familiarity with emerging AI frameworks including Transformers and Large Language Models (LLMs).
