TThe AI/ML Agentic Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of next-generation agent-based software systems. Specifically responsible for working closely with the Sr. Director, Analytics & AI, faculty, students and other technical staff within Information Technology to create intelligent, directable, and economical agents that enhance human capabilities and foster partnerships between humans and machines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design, develop, and operationalize deployment of complex, enterprise-grade AI/ML projects that leverage multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, researchers, UX design, and product managers, to craft, develop, test, and maintain services and features.
- Creatively combine insights from different publications and domains into solutions that meet the unique needs and capabilities of our customers.
- Create our agent infrastructure to enable a wide variety of mechanics, behaviors, and task definitions.
- Directly support external users, acting as the bridge between their specific needs and our product plans.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in developing or deploying AI/ML solutions
Enthusiasm for leveraging AI to drive innovation and value
Hands-on experience implementing agent algorithms and debugging code.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design and productionize solutions
Experience with SQL, R, and/or Python programming
Experience with cloud-based service development and operations (e.g., Azure, Fabric)
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Requires a minimum of 1 day a week onsite; the on-campus requirement is subject to modification based on organizational need.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Web Apps, DevOps, or AI Foundry a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce, and exposure to Agentforce a plus.
This is an exempt position with the following pay range: $150,827 - $167,585; the role is also eligible for bonuses based on performance and budget.
