Job Purpose
Manager Reinsurance Operation will support the Head of Reinsurance and work closely with the various teams as listed in the Key Relationships to deliver accurate and timely reinsurance related bookings/reporting to internal/external stakeholders.
This role will also be an important role to arrange internal and external treaty reinsurance to mitigate the risks of AIG Japan.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop as a global Reinsurance talent/leader through broader experiences in the complexed processes of a large global leading company.
Job Responsibilities
Work as a hub to assist Japan Controller teams, Underwriting Teams, Claims Team, Risk Management Team, NY Internal Reinsurance Team for day-to-day inquiries/requests related to reinsurance operations.
Prepare and place reinsurance as well as maintain the current treaties for both internal and external. This requires close work with product underwriters and Head office Internal Reinsurance Team and external brokers etc.
Assist/advise the claims team for any reinsurance loss recovery related issues.
Reinsurance wordings will need to be checked working closely with Reinsurance Legal in NY.
Handle old run-off business including commutations.
Drive and support various reinsurance and finance initiatives

Required Skills and Experiences
Educational Qualification
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Total Experience
Sufficient experience in overall reinsurance (Inwards and/or Outwards) including administrational operations, reinsurance accounting, structuring and/or placement.
Solid verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese
A good team player
Adaptability to multi-cultural and diversified working environment
Ability and willingness to communicate and work with stakeholders, both internal and external.
Ability and willingness to communicate with overseas stakeholders.
