The opportunity:

AIA currently has an opportunity available for a Vitality Product Analyst to join their team in Melbourne. Within this role you will support the development, execution and refining of strategies that ensure sustainable growth and market leadership for AIA Vitality.

This role is responsible for analysing user behaviour and market trends, ensuring timely reporting of KPIs and dashboards, supporting the product roadmap, and planning cycles to achieve business goals.

This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools like SQL, Google Analytics and Tableau.

Key responsibilities

  • Data analysis: Analyse user behavior, engagement and feature adoption

  • Experimentation: Design, implement, and analyse A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of new features, changes, and optimisations

  • Reporting and dashboards: Build and maintain dashboards to track key product metrics and provide clear, concise reports and insights to the Head of Vitality Strategy & Innovation and leadership

  • Roadmap support: Partner with product management and cross-functional teams to define success criteria, identify data-driven opportunities, and inform product strategy and roadmap prioritisation.

  • Market and competitive analysis: Conduct thorough competitive analysis and market research to inform product positioning and feature prioritisation.

  • User research support: Provide data-backed input for user research initiatives, such as analysing feedback from interviews or app store ratings. 

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a product or digital analytics role, preferably with mobile app or website data

  • Technical proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field like business, data science, computer science, or a similar quantitative field. 

  • A strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills with a high attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers and designers.
