We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools development Intern to join our AI Community of Practice team. In this role, you will support the design, development, and validation of AI tools, working closely with experienced engineers throughout the tool development lifecycle. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world AI tools design challenges in a collaborative and fast-paced engineering environment. Examples of AI tools include internal GenAI assistants, RAG-based knowledge tools, workflow automation agents, and AI-powered validation utilities. Key Responsibilities: Explore needs for AI tools and collect inputs/requirements from key stakeholders Document AI tools design requirements and deployment plans. Actively collaborate in the design and development of AI tools under the guidance of senior engineers. Participate in the deployment and bring-up of AI tools, and during debugging and validation phases. Follow established engineering processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences, and/or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Computer Engineering or equivalent.
3+ months of experience in software development.
Mid to Advanced English level.
Basic knowledge of Machine Learning and Generative AI concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG).
Basic Programming skills in Python: scripts, functions, data handling
Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Computer Architecture and/or Intel products.
Experience with Python for ML/AI (e.g., notebooks, APIs, model integration)
Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or experience building AI agents (e.g., tool-using agents, multi-step workflows)

Nice to have:
Experience using Git/GitHub
Familiarity with REST APIs
Exposure to cloud or internal AI platforms
Experience documenting technical designs
