What you’ll achieve

As the Technical AI Lead you will provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership across our AI product portfolio and internal AI initiatives. This senior role is responsible for overseeing a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers, and for ensuring that the organisation's AI work meets the highest standards of rigour, quality, and consistency—from research through to production.

The successful candidate will be a practitioner-leader: deeply technical, experienced in shipping AI-driven products at scale, and with the vision and communication skills to shape best practices and guide technical strategy across the organisation .

You will:

  • Lead and manage a global team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI researchers, setting technical direction, ensuring quality, and fostering a strong culture.

  • Define and champion best practices, standards, and guidelines for AI assisted software development, including Agentic AI based product development.

  • Contribute to AI partner vetting and technical due diligence for third-party AI platforms, vendors, and research collaborators, assessing technical fit, scalability, and risk.

  • Ensure technical consistency across AI initiatives by collaborating with the Integrated Solutions Team

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering leads at a global scale to translate product requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions and to advise on feasibility.

  • Stay at the forefront of AI research developments—including large language models, multimodal AI, and agentic systems—and assess their applicability to the organisation's products and processes.

  • Communicate technical progress, risks, and strategy to key stakeholders

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field

  • Proven experience leading an AI technical team in a product-focused environment, taking AI solutions from research and conception through to production launch

  • Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and modern AI development practices, with experience shipping AI-driven products at scale

  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven development workflows, including LLM-assisted development, agentic pipelines, or AI-augmented SDLC.

  • Hands on experience and understanding of multi-agentic flows and the infrastructure required to enable them

  • Strong proficiency with the modern ML stack (e.g. Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face, cloud platforms) and tools such as Claude code

  • Demonstrated ability to define and enforce AI governance practices including model evaluation, bias assessment, and production monitoring

  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Native English speaker or C1/C2 English certification

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in AI native company

  • Experience in healthcare AI, with familiarity with clinical data environments, medical imaging, or genomics applications

  • Familiarity with AI safety, interpretability, and regulatory considerations as they apply to AI in high-stakes domains

  • Experience contributing to or reviewing AI technical publications, standards bodies, or open-source AI frameworks
