Position Summary
Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected graduate students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7.
Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. The application window is open until March 15, 2026; however, it may close earlier if all available roles are filled. Applications submitted after the application window or once a role is closed/projects are full will not be considered.

Role and Responsibilities
Position Summary
This role focuses on leading the strategic planning and end-to-end AI lifecycle execution of finance-specific AI use cases to drive company-wide AI transformation. Through these AI projects, this role delivers tangible business results to achieve strategic financial objectives, operational efficiency, and innovation. This role reports to the Director, Innovation & Automation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the discovery of tangible AI use case opportunities and pain points within the finance domain, collaborating closely with the Business Management (BM) team.
- Participate in AI use case discovery workshops and weekly AI project meetings with finance stakeholders to identify areas for AI-driven improvements.
- Support strategic planning, scoping, design, execution, and tracking of finance-specific AI use case end-to-end lifecycle, including ideation, proof-of-concept, pilot, and scale-up.
- Present insights, proposals, business cases, and progress updates to senior finance stakeholders. Translate complex technical concepts into actionable decisions to secure buy-in and funding for strategic AI initiatives.
- Conduct data-driven ROI & benefits analysis in planning and conduct KPI analysis post-execution to measure the financial impact of AI projects.
- Identify and mitigate AI project risks and blockers from both internal and external factors, ensuring alignment with finance goals.
- Challenge the status quo in search of new AI-driven processes, ideas, and technology to optimize financial operations and decision-making.
- Proactively benchmark current AI & ML technologies and industry trends relevant to the finance sector.
- Conduct benchmarking of industry best practices, headquarters, and other subsidiaries to identify and leverage finance-specific AI innovations.
- Support beta testing and user acceptance testing of new AI platform/service features tailored to finance workflows.
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student (or recent graduate).
- Academic fields of study: AI, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Seniors or recent graduates preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts, with exposure to Generative AI (e.g., LLMs, AI agents, copilots).
- Proficiency with data analysis & automation tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, RPA), understanding of AI platforms, and/or Python coding knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for analysis, documentation, and executive-ready presentations.
Skills:
- Strong analytical abilities to analyze financial performance and ROI on AI use case implementation projects.
- Expertise in critical evaluation of complex financial problems and providing clear and concise recommendations.
- Strong passion to stay current on the latest AI trends and market & industry insights relevant to the finance sector.
- Strong project management skills and experience with AI implementation tools.
- Proven experience or coursework in AI-driven strategy, transformation, and/or adoption projects from concept through deployment, including roadmap creation, data readiness, technical scoping, and enterprise-wide implementation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills to both internal and external finance stakeholders coupled with exceptional Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel capabilities.
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers across the organization and the senior leadership within the finance domain.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI initiatives within the finance sector while gaining hands-on experience in strategic planning and execution tailored to financial operations.
Skills and Qualifications
The hourly rate for this role will range between $41 to $51. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
