Job Title: AI & PTV Valuation Control Specialist

Role Description

Valuation Control is a specialist group within Market and Valuations Risk Management (MVRM) that manages a wide range of relevant risk and implementation topics to ensure integrity and control over all aspects of the valuation of the Bank's trading portfolios.

This includes:

Performance of monthly and intra-month Independent Price Verification (IPV), Reserves and Prudential Capital
Oversight and development of valuation, reserve and Prudential Capital methodologies
Analysis and management of key valuation uncertainty issues through DB's senior management
Review of bespoke derivative and structured financing trades
Valuations works closely with its Risk Management partners, Finance, and Trading globally and employs a team extension model in Mumbai.

The AI role is responsible for driving innovation, technical excellence, and strategic direction in artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives.The role will focus on working on department projects in Valuation Control space & drive the progression of innovative ideas into an MVP product Focus will be more on automating workflows using inhouse AI tools. The individual will also be working on daily & monthly controls in Model Risk Control & Product Tagging Validation team.

Product Tagging Validation team is responsible for independent validation of appropriateness of Product names assigned to trades, requires validation of the features as described within the Product to the trade booking and tag discrepancies discussed with Trading for resolution

Your key responsibilities

Work collaboratively with Valuation managers, Strats, and end-users to deliver working solutions using DB inhouse AI tools in an Agile and Iterative manner.
Ensure successful development, launch, and adoption of automation solutions tailored to Valuation processes
Design and implement solutions using advanced analytics, machine learning / AI that fulfil Deutsche Bank's innovation strategy
Analysing products and trade booking to determine the logic required to automatically determine the product type and features.
Working with Trading and Strats to remediate product tagging and definition issues to improve the Model Risk Control environment.

Your skills and experience

Excellent knowledge of AI / ML (Machine Learning) models and technological know-how with a sound foundation in the technologies that developers use to build AI products
Knowledge of Generative AI algorithms and experience of working with LLMs, Agentic AI.
Experience with LLM related frameworks such as Langchain, AutoGen. Proficient in building evaluation metrics.
Experience automating process/workflows using Python / C++ or other programming language
Candidate should have good understanding on vanilla & exotic derivative products
Understanding of pricing and valuation of derivative products
Previous experience working with valuations of products, exposure to derivative Models
Programming experience in Python is mandatory.
