About the role - As the AI Market Research Lead, you will execute a portfolio of structured market research studies for Health Markets products in the US. You will design statistically sound protocols, coordinate clinician SMEs, and implement SOPs that produce reliable quality metrics. You will synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights that inform product roadmaps and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Project leadership and execution: Execute a portfolio of market research studies for Health Markets products, defining scope, success criteria, and cadence in partnership with Product and Data Science.
- Design statistically sound protocols, sampling plans, and acceptance thresholds to generate reliable quality metrics.
- Coordinate clinician SME participation with Evaluation SME Operations, including calibration and inter-rater reliability checks.
- Synthesize findings into clear narratives and recommendations that inform product roadmaps and near-term delivery plans.
- Use external references and publicly available tools within legal and compliance guardrails to contextualize product performance.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for methods, datasets, rater guidance, analyses, and outcomes. Project Management: Plan and manage study timelines, milestones, and dependencies across multiple concurrent evaluations.
- Facilitates US-based benchmarking workshops, consolidates feedback, and translates findings into clear, prioritized product recommendations. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences (and any other requirements)
- Track budgets, vendors, and deliverables, escalating risks and blockers early with mitigation plans.
- Build and manage task boards, run stand-ups, and drive on-time, on-quality execution with clear owners and handoffs.
- Report progress and outcomes to the AI Benchmarking Manager and senior stakeholders. Strategic Alignment, Business Engagement & Relationships Facilitate regular US-based market research workshops.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, UX, Engineering, and SME Operations to align on standards, SOPs, and shared metrics.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of evaluation methods, bias mitigation practices, and quality management processes.
- Support governance by adhering to privacy, legal, and procurement policies and by proposing pragmatic refinements to standards and processes. - Owns SOPs, study templates, rater guidance, and audit-ready documentation; maintains high bar for statistical rigor and reproducibility.
- Implements experimental design and quality controls, including calibration and inter-rater reliability, in partnership with Evaluation SME Operations.
- Collaborates with analysts on data pipelines, QC checks, and analysis plans using SQL with Python or R; communicates insights via Tableau or similar tools.
- Apply bias detection and mitigation practices to datasets, tasks, and rater workflows to ensure fairness and safety.
- Ensures compliant use of external references and publicly available tools within legal, privacy, and procurement guardrails.
Requirements
- 5+ years market research, or product research studies—ideally with health, clinical education, or information products.
- Demonstrated strength in experimental design and sampling (e.g., power analysis, margins of error) and in setting acceptance thresholds for metrics.
- Hands‑on experience creating SOPs and study documentation; strong quality‑management mindset and audit‑ready record keeping.
- Ability to collaborate on analyses using SQL and either Python or R; fluency communicating insights with Tableau or similar tools.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in market research, statistics, strategy, information science, or a related STEM/social science field; degrees in clinical or research domains are welcome.
- Skill translating technical/clinical findings into clear product recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Program/project management across multiple concurrent studies, including vendor coordination and risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including executive readouts and decision workshops.
- Familiarity with legal, privacy, and compliance considerations
- Willingness to travel for on‑site workshops in the US (e.g., New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh); occasional additional travel as needed.
U.S. National Base Pay Range: $102,800 - $171,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
If performed in New York, the pay range is $113,100 - $188,500. If performed in New York City, the pay range is $118,200 - $197,100. If performed in Rochester, NY, the pay range is $97,700 - $162,700.
This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
