Role Description

• AI Lead is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments.
• As an AI Lead, you will design, build, and scale end‑to‑end AI solutions across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing applications. You will work across LLM processing pipelines, data ingestion and transformation workflows, API-driven services, and modern web interfaces, while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and production-ready. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals in Python, cloud-native development, and modern frameworks, along with the ability to collaborate across platform, infrastructure, and frontend teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI capabilities.

Work includes

• Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals  
• Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
• Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
• Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability
• Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.
• You will work as part of a cross-functional agile delivery team. You will bring an innovative approach to software development, focusing on using the latest technologies and practices, as part of a relentless focus on business value. Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain LLM processing pipelines and AI‑powered services/agents
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and API‑driven workflows supporting AI applications
• Develop and integrate backend services with modern web interfaces to deliver seamless end‑to‑end user experiences
• Implement and maintain cloud‑native deployment architectures and CI/CD pipelines for AI solutions
• Ensure AI applications meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, security, and compliance
• Rapidly prototype solutions to automate manual processes and improve development efficiency
• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML systems in production.
• Comfortable navigating urgency, ambiguity, and fast-changing priorities. Skilled at solving complex AI/ML problems independently, from idea to implementation.
• Solid software engineering background and comfort working with data and full-stack teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and production-grade ML pipelines.
• Bias for action — willing to jump into code, data, or ops to ship impactful AI products.

Your skills and experience

• PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or a relevant experience in Agentic AI space
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Java EE, Spring Boot and API design for production‑grade AI systems
• Experience implementing AI Agents with Agentic AI patterns, MCP Servers, Gaurdrails, Agent Evaluation, HITL, A2A, Multi-Agent Architecture
• Experience building and deploying cloud‑native applications on GCP (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, IAM) , AWS, Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with modern web technologies such as Angular and frontend‑backend integration patterns
• Experience working with relational, vector, and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, pgvector, Graph DBs)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automated deployment practices
• Experience with Google ADK / Vertex AI or equivalent
• Comfortable working with SQL/NoSQL, and data warehouses like BigQuery or Snowflake.
• Familiar with ethical AI, model explainability, and secure, privacy-aware AI development
