The Lead Architect – AI Integration is a senior technical leader within the Enterprise Data Platforms organization, responsible for shaping the evolution of integration capabilities across systems, data, and AI ecosystems.

This role operates at the intersection of data integration, API/event-driven architectures, and AI enablement, providing a strategic view on how enterprise integration must evolve to support an agentic, AI-driven future.

You will define and guide the development of scalable, business-aligned integration patterns that enable seamless interaction between enterprise systems, data products, and AI agents. A key focus is ensuring that integration capabilities (APIs, events, MCP-enabled interfaces) are AI-ready, reusable, and governed, while remaining grounded in real business processes and outcomes.

At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.

The Opportunity:

  • You shape the future of enterprise integration by transforming the integration and data landscape into a foundation consumable by AI and autonomous agents.

  • You provide strategic technical direction for the evolution of integration and data capabilities, ensuring alignment between business processes, enterprise platforms, and AI adoption.

  • You drive the transition from traditional integration toward AI-ready architectures, enabling seamless interaction via APIs, events, and emerging patterns such as MCP and agent-to-agent (A2A).

  • You act as a trusted advisor to business and domain leadership, consulting on key initiatives to ensure solutions are sustainable, scalable, and aligned with long-term enterprise architecture goals.

  • You continuously scan emerging trends in AI, integration, and data, translating them into pragmatic, enterprise-scalable patterns and platform capabilities.

  • You ensure that all integration and data solutions are designed with strong quality, governance, and regulatory awareness, proactively adapting to evolving compliance requirements.

  • You provide a clear point of view on integration and data platform evolution, influencing strategic decisions across the organization.

  • You lead the definition and adoption of modern integration patterns and standards, ensuring interoperability, reusability, and consistency across domains.

  • You act as a mentor and technical leader for integration architects and experts, elevating capabilities across the organization and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Who you are:

  • You are a senior architect or technical lead with strong experience in enterprise integration, capable of operating at both strategic and hands-on levels.

  • You bring deep expertise in integration architecture, including: API-led architectures, Event-driven architectures, Streaming platforms, Emerging patterns such as MCP and agent-to-agent (A2A) integration

  • You have strong experience in data architecture patterns and principles, such as:Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Distributed data ownership and interoperability

  • You possess solid knowledge of Information Architecture, including: Metadata management, Data modeling, Data discoverability and governance

  • You have a good understanding of AI solution architecture, including how AI systems interact with enterprise data and integration layers.

  • You demonstrate the ability to translate emerging AI and integration trends into enterprise-ready solutions, balancing innovation with scalability and control.

  • You are curious and continuously learning, staying up to date with evolving technologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • You have experience working with (or similar to) modern integration and data platforms, such as: MuleSoft, Gravitee, Solace, Kafka, Azure Integration Services, AWS, Snowflake

  • You bring a pragmatic mindset, delivering real business value through solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and intentionally simple.

  • You are comfortable consulting business stakeholders, shaping solutions that align with both business needs and enterprise architecture standards.

  • You act as a mentor and role model for integration architects and engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and capability growth.

  • You thrive in complex, cross-functional environments and are able to influence without direct authority, driving alignment across domains, data, and AI teams.

  • Salary range 19,000 - 35,400 PLN gross based on the employment contract.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 228,900.00 PLN-425,100.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20% subject to both individual and company performance.
