Brunswick IT organization is seeking a talented and motivated AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions. This role focuses on Generative AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), computer vision, and agentic AI workflows, with a strong emphasis on building scalable, production-grade systems on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generative AI Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions leveraging Azure AI Foundry to enhance customer interaction and internal support workflows.

  • RAG System Development: Build and operationalize Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Azure AI Search and Azure AI Foundry, optimized for answering complex, domain-specific queries related to Mercury Marine and BBG products.

  • Image Generation & Synthesis: Explore and implement advanced image generation techniques using state-of-the-art generative models and conditioning frameworks for precise and controlled image synthesis tailored to business use cases.

  • Image Classification & Computer Vision: Build and deploy image classification models using Azure Custom Vision (or equivalent), creating real-time classification endpoints for prediction and analysis.

  • LLM Orchestration & Agentic Workflows: Develop and maintain AI agent pipelines and multi-step reasoning workflows using LangChain and LangGraph frameworks.

  • Vector Database Integration: Design and integrate vector database solutions to support semantic search, embedding storage, and efficient retrieval for AI/ML applications.

  • Deployment & MLOps: Support end-to-end model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management in cloud environments.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with  IT & cross-functional business teams to identify AI opportunities and translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Programming : Strong proficiency in Python is required

  • AI / LLM Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangChain and LangGraph (required).

  • Generative AI: Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic AI patterns.

  • Vector Databases: Working knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, Azure AI Search, or FAISS.

  • Machine Learning: Strong fundamentals in ML model development, training, evaluation, and deployment.

  • Experience: 2–3 years of relevant professional experience preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field required. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly valued

Additional  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML), Azure AI Foundry, Azure Custom Vision, Azure AI Search, and Azure Prompt Flow.

  • Experience with model fine-tuning (LLMs, vision models) and building foundational ML models from scratch or through transfer learning.

  • Familiarity with generative image architectures and conditioning frameworks for controlled image synthesis.

  • Exposure to MLOps practices, CI/CD for ML pipelines, and containerized deployments.

  • Knowledge of embedding models and semantic search techniques.

The hiring range for this position is $87,800 - $128,750 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
