Join Maxis as an AI Automation Engineer Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience supporting automation initiatives across Maxis platforms, with a focus on AI-powered testing, chatbot optimisation, and process efficiency. This role offers exposure to real-world AI projects, bot implementations, and automated API testing, contributing directly to operational improvements and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI-Powered Test Automation

  • Develop and automate testing scripts for Maxis Business Hub (MBH) functionalities.

  • Design and implement AI-driven automated testing for enterprise APIs.

  • Support automated testing initiatives to improve system reliability and efficiency.

2. Chatbot & AI Solution Support

  • Assist in the implementation and optimisation of MIA, Maxis’ AI-powered chatbot.

  • Support testing, validation, and enhancement of chatbot workflows and responses.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to improve bot accuracy and performance.

3. API Testing & Integration

  • Support automated testing for enterprise APIs.

  • Assist with API development, testing, and integration activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve API testing coverage and efficiency.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, QA, and Development teams to identify automation opportunities.

  • Support testing and validation across different platforms and systems.

  • Contribute ideas to enhance automation and AI adoption.

5. Documentation & Quality Assurance

  • Document automation solutions, testing results, and workflows.

  • Conduct testing to ensure reliability, accuracy, and consistency of solutions.

  • Support continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Good understanding of AI concepts, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies.

  • Proficient in Node.js, with familiarity in API development and integrations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a technical environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team.
