We are seeking an AI and Data Governance Specialist to support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of governance practices across EisnerAmper’s AI transformation initiative. This role will help promote responsible AI deployment, acceptable data use, and compliance throughout the AI development lifecycle. The Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams including AI, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and IT to operationalize governance requirements, monitor controls, and support the firm’s commitment to ethical AI practices and professional standards.

Support the implementation of AI governance frameworks and standards, including alignment with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of AI and data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Participate in AI lifecycle risk assessments, issue tracking, and remediation follow-up for AI systems and data use cases.
Help monitor compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, and internal data usage policies.
Support data governance activities such as data classification, metadata management, lineage tracking, and acceptable use reviews.
Assist in establishing and monitoring data quality standards and governance controls to promote reliable, secure, and compliant AI operations.
Help maintain data catalog content, governance metadata, and documentation.
Prepare governance reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking materials for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, IT, and business teams to support governance reviews, working sessions, and training efforts.
Support third-party and vendor governance activities, including documentation reviews and risk/compliance assessments for AI-related tools and services.
Contribute to internal and external audit readiness by gathering evidence, maintaining records, and tracking governance actions.
Stay current on emerging AI governance practices, regulatory developments, and industry trends to help improve the firm’s governance program.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Information Security, Public Policy, Business, or a related field.
7–8 years of relevant experience in data governance, risk, compliance, information security, privacy, or a related function.
2+ years of experience working with AI/ML technologies, analytics, or data-driven business applications.
Experience supporting policy, compliance, risk assessment, or governance-related initiatives.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain detailed documentation.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain governance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with professional services environments such as accounting, consulting, audit, tax, or advisory.
Working knowledge of AI governance, data governance, privacy, or responsible AI concepts.
Exposure to regulatory and privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, SOX, or similar compliance requirements.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with Azure Purview, Azure AI services, or related cloud technologies.
Familiarity with generative AI tools, including GPT-based solutions, prompt engineering, or enterprise AI applications.
Experience with governance, reporting, or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and adapt in a fast-changing technology environment.
Interest in learning evolving AI governance standards, industry practices, and regulatory expectations.
