We are looking for an AI & Automation Manager to lead NN International’s AI and automation transformation - turning strategy into scalable solutions that deliver measurable impact across nine markets.

In this role, you will shape how AI and Automation create real value across NN International. As AI & Automation Manager within the Data & AI Centre of Excellence, you will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of scalable, reusable AI and automation solutions used across nine international markets. From advanced AI/ML to GenAI, Agentic AI and hyper‑automation, your work will directly influence how our businesses operate, innovate, and grow. By connecting strategy with hands‑on execution, you will turn cutting‑edge technology into tangible outcomes that matter - for our markets, our colleagues, and our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Set the AI/GenAI vision and transformation roadmap for the CoE and international Business Units, translating business strategy and market trends into clear priorities.
- Be a trusted sparring partner for local and international leaders - championing AI awareness, driving literacy, and scaling capability building
- Lead, coach and grow a high-performing team - building a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Own the AI/Analytics portfolio end-to-end: shape demand, stand up agile product teams when needed, and deliver outcomes on time, on scope, and on budget.
- Prototype, validate and scale enterprise-grade AI/GenAI solutions—operationalising them through strong governance and seamless integration with the local IT landscape.
- Drive innovation and standardisation across platforms and products: advance capabilities (RAG, agentic AI, custom LLMs/SLMs, MCP frameworks) and establish best practices (MLOps/LLMOps).
- Build and lead communities of practice across NN International—enabling knowledge sharing, mentoring, and reusable solutions that scale across countries.
- Define success metrics and prove business impact—tracking KPIs while ensuring strong data & AI governance, compliance, and risk management.
What we expect from you
- University degree and fluent English (C1 level)
- 10+ years of experience in Data Science / AI roles, including at least 3 years in senior leadership
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners
- Proven experience in AI product design, Agile delivery, and IT service frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Hands‑on expertise in AI/ML, Data Science, LLMs, and cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, and GPT APIs
- Solid understanding of GenAI, RAG architecture, agentic AI, MLOps / LLMOps, and hybrid AI solutions
- Experience delivering enterprise‑grade AI solutions end‑to‑end: deployment, CI/CD, code collaboration, and model/LLM evaluation
- Strong track record of leading complex AI/Analytics initiatives in a matrix environment—balancing innovation with reliable delivery
- Practical understanding of insurance and financial services use cases, such as claims, underwriting, STP, CVM/CLV, and sales performance
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, GDPR) and experience building or leading communities of practice
- Relevant AI/ML certifications (e.g. TensorFlow Developer, Azure AI Engineer) are an advantage
