Citi is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Vice President (SVP), AI Agentic Marketplace Product Owner. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, launch, and scale an internal agentic AI marketplace that enables business teams to safely discover, deploy, and govern AI agents across the enterprise. This will drive significant productivity, automation, and decision intelligence while rigorously meeting regulatory, security, and risk standards. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading this strategic initiative, combining deep expertise in AI/ML and agentic systems with exceptional product management skills, a strong understanding of financial services, and a proven track record of delivering complex technical platforms in a large, global enterprise. This role will work closely with the Enterprise AI team to establish this capability, initially within Wealth, and ensure full accordance with broader Citi-Wide Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Agentic Marketplace Strategy & Roadmap: Define and articulate a compelling vision, strategy, and comprehensive roadmap for the internal AI Agentic Marketplace. This includes identifying strategic opportunities for leveraging agentic AI to drive business value, conducting enterprise-wide needs assessments for AI agent capabilities, and ensuring the marketplace's evolution aligns with overall business objectives and technology strategies.
- Product Development & Lifecycle Management (Marketplace & Agents): Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for the AI Agentic Marketplace platform, from ideation and requirements gathering to development, testing, launch, and continuous post-launch optimization. This responsibility also encompasses defining and managing the safe lifecycle of AI agents within the marketplace, working closely with engineering, data science, design, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery and secure integration.
- Requirements Definition (Marketplace & Governance): Translate complex business problems and user needs into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements and user stories for the AI Agentic Marketplace platform. This includes defining specific requirements for AI agent discovery, secure deployment workflows, performance monitoring tools, versioning, and robust governance features necessary for responsible agent operation.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders, including senior leadership, business unit heads, technology teams, risk, compliance, and legal, to ensure alignment and secure buy-in for AI product initiatives.
- Agentic AI and Platforms Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of agentic AI principles, multi-agent systems, various AI/ML techniques (e.g., natural language processing, predictive analytics) as they apply to autonomous agents, and the architecture required for an enterprise-grade agent marketplace. Collaborate with technical teams on AI agent architecture, platform integration, data requirements, and secure solution design within the marketplace environment, ensuring ethical and responsible AI development.
- Performance & Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for AI products, monitor performance post-launch and iterate based on data-driven insights. Ensure AI solutions deliver measurable business value.
- Risk & Compliance: Partner with risk management and compliance teams to ensure all AI products adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical guidelines, particularly concerning data privacy, explainability, and fairness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5+ years focused on AI/Machine Learning products. Experience with AI agents and agentic frameworks.
- Proven experience working at an SVP level or equivalent in a large, complex organization, preferably in financial services.
- Demonstrated success in defining, launching, and scaling AI products that have delivered significant business impact.
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry, including retail banking, institutional clients, wealth management, or enterprise functions.
- Solid grasp of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, platforms, and their practical applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI/ML services (e.g., AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform).
- Understanding of data governance, data pipelines, and MLOps principles.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence, inspire, and drive consensus across diverse teams.
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
