We develop some of the world’s most advanced semiconductor packaging technologies as part of Intel’s Foundry Technology Manufacturing (FTM) organization. Within the Advanced Packaging and Technology Manufacturing (APTM) group, you will join a team focused on developing AI‑driven solutions that transform every stage of advanced packaging development—from early design concepts to high‑volume manufacturing.

In this role, you will build Agentic components that integrate complex, multi‑disciplinary capabilities into a state‑of‑the‑art Agentic framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become an Agentic specialist
    Study and understand how Agentic systems think, solve problems, interact with humans and other agents, and leverage tools. Translate these learnings into reference research and development workflows.
  • Be a jack‑of‑all‑trades
    Integrate a broad range of simulation and analysis tools—including FEA, CFD, AI, reliability, and others—into scalable Agentic workflows.
  • Help shape the future
    Anticipate industry advancements and design Agentic solutions that are future‑proof and adaptable to emerging technologies.
  • Solve real‑world problems
    Partner with domain experts to architect Agentic solutions that address complex, real engineering challenges.
  • Enable scalable adoption
    Collaborate with engineers to validate models and transition Agentic solutions into robust, scalable frameworks suitable for production environments

Qualifications:

You must possess the requirements below to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR PhD degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience

Experience listed above could be in any of the following:

  • Experience designing and deploying multi-agent or agentic AI systems
  • LLMs and their applications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical direction, mentor other engineers, and drive cross-functional alignment around a common vision.
  • Strong Python and other numerical programming languages

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in distributed systems and AI infrastructure

• Experience applying ML models to solve industry problems, including PINNs, Bayesian Optimization, or similar

• Familiarity with vector databases, knowledge graphs, or semantic layers to provide agents with governed access to enterprise knowledge.

• Experience integrating AI agents with enterprise tools and data systems, preferably in engineering, hardware development, or manufacturing environments

• Ability to bridge physics and numerical models with Agentic systems

• A working understanding of the core components to an agent orchestration platform

• Strong system design mindset, balancing technical rigor with practical adoption

• Experience in the Semiconductor or Advanced Packaging Industries

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $170,500.00-315,490.00 USD
