Location: London or Royston, UK or Vilnius, Lithuania (hybrid working model)

Salary: €65,000- €70,000 / £60,000 - £65,000

You will join a new department that is focused on delivering excellent digital experiences for Johnson Matthey’s customers. We are building a new digital team focused on using Agile methodologies to deliver valuable software for our customers. You will work alongside software engineers, automated testers, designers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders. Johnson Matthey is continuing a multi-year investment in Technology, and this role is part of the investment and expansion. It is a rare chance to shape the digital direction of a 200-year-old company.

This role is working across our cooperate platforms working closely with platform managers working with fast moving stakeholders.

The role:

  • Lead and motivate multiple multi-disciplinary teams, helping them organise and plan their work, ensuring they deliver
    products and services to meet users' needs.

  • Ensure teams clearly communicate their plans and progress through their plans using recognised agile practices

  • Co-ordinate with teams on feature releases, managing dependencies across teams.

  • Ensure all work is thoroughly tested through system, integration and user acceptance tests so that IT has confidence it has met the criteria.

  • Adhere to JMs software quality standards and policies to ensure the team delivers a quality software to business.

  • Create a psychological safe working culture within your team and stakeholders.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Experience of documenting requirements in JIRA and Confluence, from the high-level Key features (Epics) breaking them down into manageable user stories with agreed Acceptance Criteria.

  • Ability to break Epics into meaningful User Stories and agreeing User Story prioritisation to deliver high value items early.

  • Experience of working collaboratively with business in documenting requirements clearly

  • Experience working in a structured development environment

  • Comfortable having difficult conversations with stakeholders whilst managing their expectations effectively

Nice to have skills:

  • Previously worked in a consultancy

  • Scrum master experience

  • Working across cooperate comm’s
