Location: Hybrid – Washington, DC.  Candidates are required to work on-site at the client's office or at the DXC office for 2 days per week.

Role Overview

The Agile Coach serves as the lead advisor, mentor, and transformation partner for Agile and SAFe 6.0 practices across all teams, vendors, and release trains engaged in DOD modernization efforts. The role supports Agile transformation, cross-team collaboration, DevSecOps alignment, and continuous improvement, ensuring delivery maturity and value realization. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active or obtainable DOD Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as SAFe SME/Agile Coach supporting Agile Release Trains and teams.
  • Facilitate PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, ART Syncs, and Scrum of Scrums.
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, RTEs, and team members on Agile best practices.
  • Guide adoption of CALMR, DevSecOps, automation, and continuous delivery techniques.
  • Support Lean Portfolio Management and Agile governance expectations.
  • Conduct Agile maturity assessments and coach teams through improvement roadmaps.
  • Assist in designing value-stream–aligned team structures and product-centric work models.
  • Identify systemic impediments and collaborate with leadership to resolve barriers.
  • Promote flow-based execution, improved predictability, and data-driven decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with DOD cybersecurity, reporting, and delivery standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 8+ years coaching Agile teams or leading Agile transformation efforts.
  • 5+ years implementing SAFe in federal, defense, or regulated environments.
  • SAFe SPC (SAFe Practice Consultant) certification required.
  • Proven experience facilitating PI Planning and Inspect & Adapt ceremonies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile metrics, Lean Portfolio Management, and DevSecOps.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and training capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting PeopleSoft, ERP modernization, or enterprise HR/pay systems.
  • Experience conducting AMAT (Agile Maturity) assessments.
  • Background in organizational design and value-stream transformation.
  • Experience coaching cross-vendor or multi-train environments.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $97,100 - $180,300.
