About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, and as we pivot our entire portfolio towards a consumption-driven business model, our Solution Engineering Architect practice is evolving to lead the change. We are formalizing our highly successful "Agentforce Squad" into a dedicated team of deep specialists to drive this transformation.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact team at the forefront of our Data and AI strategy, acting as pathfinders who will define the future of consumption-based selling and customer success at Salesforce.
The Agentforce and Data Cloud Architect (AFDC Architect) is a pivotal, customer-facing role focused on a single, transformative goal: enabling our customers to become a true Agentic Enterprise.
As a strategic technical advisor, you will guide this transformation by mastering the key components of its success: Data and AI. Serving as our definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Agentforce and Data Cloud, this is a deeply hands-on role for those who want to be immersed in our customers' real-life environments, data, and processes.
We value deep and diverse expertise. Recognizing that the path to an "Agentic Enterprise" requires a sharp focus on both Data and AI, this role offers flexibility. Based on your unique background, skills, seniority, and passion, the balance between Data and AI in your role may vary. You will have the opportunity to specialize deeply in either Data Cloud or Agentforce, or master the integrated solutions of both.
Your engagement as a trusted advisor spans the entire customer lifecycle to guide successful activation in production, drive strategies to maximize consumption, and proactively identify innovative use cases—making the promise of an autonomous, agentic business a reality for our customers and maximizing their time-to-value. This may include hands-on activities like leading technical presales POCs
As an AFDC Architect, you will be the technical authority for Agentforce and Data Cloud, guiding our customers at every step of their journey. Your core purpose is to accelerate customer adoption, maximize consumption of our Data & AI products, and help pioneer the Solution Engineering operating model for this new business paradigm.
Pre-Sales Responsibilities:
Strategic Deal Support: Engage directly with the sales team on our most strategic accounts. Lead technical discovery, design, and presentation of Agentforce and Data Cloud solutions.
Workshops & Proof of Concepts (POCs): Define customer use cases and deliver compelling 1:1 workshops, customized demos, and hands-on POCs/Pilots that showcase the power of our platforms.
Solution Architecture & Recommendations: Develop detailed data architectures, provide specific SKU recommendations, and define credit consumption estimations.
Expert Collaboration: Serve as the deep product expert for Agentforce & Data Cloud, partnering with our global AI & Data teams to bring comprehensive domain expertise to every customer interaction.
Product Roadmap Advocacy: Work closely with Product Management to provide customers with insight into the product roadmap and ensure they have access to the latest innovations, creating a tight feedback loop between our customers and our product strategy.
Post-Sales Handover: Create and deliver comprehensive handover documentation to ensure a seamless transition for the customer to the post-sales and implementation teams.
Post-Sales Responsibilities:
Production Activation & Go-Live: Serve as the strategic advisor to guide customers from a successful POC to a full production deployment. While you will provide hands-on support to unblock technical challenges and activate initial use cases, you are not responsible for executing the go-live. Instead, you will collaborate closely with implementation partners, Salesforce Professional Services, or the customer’s own Center of Excellence who own the delivery.
Performance & Consumption Monitoring: Monitor initial credit consumption, fine-tuning solutions for optimal performance and providing guidance on updating the consumption plan as needed.
Customer Enablement: Develop and deliver one-to-many customer support motions (e.g., webinars, office hours) to scale knowledge and best practices.
Partner Ecosystem Scaling: Work closely with our most strategic partners, enabling them to build their own expertise and scale the activation of Agentforce and Data Cloud across the ecosystem.
Strategic Handoff: Ensure long-term customer success by managing the transition to other internal teams (Field Delivery Experts, Professional Services, Customer Success Managers) at the appropriate time.
5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as a Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Architect. Previous experience in the Salesforce ecosystem is a plus.
Deep, proven hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including data modeling, ingestion, and identity resolution.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical pre-sales cycles, including delivering workshops, demos, and POCs.
Strong understanding of data integration patterns, APIs, and data governance principles.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence both technical and business audiences.
