Afternoon Line Worker (2pm-10pm)

As the Afternoon Line Worker, your essential functions will include but are not limited to: 

 

About the Role

As an Afternoon Shift Line Worker at The Ziegenfelder Company, you’ll play a key role in our production process, ensuring our frozen novelties meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and are committed to maintaining excellence in every task.

Essential Functions

  • Place sealed individual units into packaging and ensure proper sealing
  • Repackage products that are improperly sealed or coded
  • Dispose of scrap products and raw materials appropriately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Comply with all federal, state, local, and company environmental, health, and safety policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior experience in food service or production preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Regularly move and lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping motions
  • Work safely around manufacturing equipment with good spatial awareness

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to noise levels above 85 decibels (hearing protection provided)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $16.75/hour
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week with set days off
  • Benefits: Begin on the first day after 60 days of employment
