Course: Aerospace Propulsion & Lab
The course provides theories of thermodynamics of propulsion that are applied in air-breathing and rocket propulsion system. Students are given introduction to one-dimensional compressible internal flow, thermodynamics of aircraft jet engines including ramjets, turbojet, turbofan, turboprop, and turboshaft engines. Students are also provided performance analysis of main components of gas turbine engines such as inlets, compressors, combustors, turbines, and nozzles.
