Job Details:

Purpose

The AEM Engineer will drive the development and implementation of technical solutions for Dell Medical School’s Digital Engagement Platform, which utilizes Adobe Experience Cloud. This role requires strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to deliver secure, scalable, and future-proof digital experiences while translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust solutions for AEM as a Cloud Service to meet current and future business needs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to design, develop, code, and test scalable backend solutions across AEM Sites, Assets, Forms, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), and Real-Time CDP

  • Implement secure backend integrations with third-party applications and systems such as ERP, EHR, and research databases

  • Address security concerns and data governance requirements, including handling Protected Health Information (PHI) and other sensitive data

  • Configure and manage the AEM platform to support multi-site, multi-channel, and multi-lingual delivery environments

  • Provide technical leadership, planning, and oversight to ensure successful delivery of AEM-based projects

  • Guide developers through complex technical challenges and establish best practices for headful and headless solutions

  • Stay current with AEM and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) features and functionality

  • Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, including architectural designs, user guides, and standard operating procedures

  • Document configurations, dependencies, and workflows to ensure solutions are well understood across the team

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant experience typically exhibited by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • 5 years of experience implementing solutions using Adobe Experience Manager and AEM Sites

  • Significant experience developing components and templates using Java, HTL, CSS, JavaScript, JCR, Apache Sling Framework, ClientLibs, OSGi, and CRXDE Lite

  • Experience creating, deploying, and managing pipelines and environments for Adobe Experience Manager

  • Experience working with and consuming APIs

  • Experience with development standards and tools including version control, automated testing, debugging, issue tracking, documentation, code reviews, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and containerization

  • Knowledge of handling sensitive data, including Protected Health Information (PHI), and adherence to HIPAA, FERPA, Common Rule, and related regulations

  • Knowledge of security standards and best practices

  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of development experience, including 5 years working with AEM as a Cloud Service or AEM version 6.x or higher

  • Experience with headless application development and AEM Edge Delivery Services

  • Experience implementing, integrating, and developing across Adobe Experience Manager and Platform products, including AEM Sites, Assets, Adobe Target, AEM Forms, Real-Time CDP, and Customer Journey Analytics

  • Experience in medical education, higher education, healthcare, or a related field

  • Expertise in AEM capabilities including Multi-Site Manager and blueprinting

  • Experience deploying AEM for large enterprise environments

  • Adobe Experience Manager Developer or Architect certifications

  • Experience with omnichannel marketing and analytics measurement/reporting

  • Certification in Agile, PMP, or both

  • Demonstrated experience working with university administrators, faculty, and staff in a customer service-oriented environment

Salary Range

$100,000+ depending on qualifications
