WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
As part of Pfizer SC Patient Solutions Team, this individual will report directly to the Patient Engagement Lead. It will be this person’s role responsibility to establish and maintain strong and lasting relationships with Patient Organizations and Professional Societies that support our presence in Amyloidosis community.
These relationships with national advocacy groups and other professional societies that will be essential for Pfizer Specialty Care to achieve personal and departmental business goals that are not normally attainable through traditional business channels via:
Developing and implementing initiatives that provide value-add potential for key stakeholders that position Pfizer as a credible and relevant partner.
Advancing partnerships with patient and professional organizations to help deliver insights and leadership for Specialty Care Therapeutic Areas within the Pfizer’s portfolio.
Build new relationships in Advocacy Groups as well as Community Partners.
Alignment of National Brand Strategies to Patient Engagement initiatives and partnerships.
Develop Advocacy and Community Forums that can address patient needs across ATTR.
Gather metrics, trends, & insights across the business to inform Sr Leadership of team’s achievements and KPIs.
Interactions with key stakeholders demonstrate an ability to meet customer needs with a balanced commitment to the Pfizer Patient Engagement Team for business objectives.
Demonstrate through thoughtful partnerships, a compelling vision to outside organizations that generate respect and provides a competitive advantage for our Pfizer Specialty Care.
Exhibit strong relationship skills and be able to foster and communicate the Advocacy & Professional Relations vision and remit to numerous cross-functional Pfizer workstreams.
Provide Patient and Professional Alliances content and expertise to commercial colleagues during the Strategic Planning process.
Continue to build the cross functional model that our team fosters by collaborating with internal and external key stakeholders to successfully achieve Pfizer’s objectives to serve patients and find new answers to unmet medical challenges.
Health Equity Support by driving patient centered advocacy strategy to advance equitable outcomes in Heart Failure and ATTRCM, with a focus on improving early awareness, diagnosis confidence, access to care, and patient experience, particularly for Black/African American and underserved communities.
Demonstrate Pfizer’s willingness to partner with competitors towards unified goal; collaborate across stakeholders to increase confidence diagnosing ATTR-CM.
Ultimately, this individual will bring focus, expertise, and prioritized action such that Pfizer establishes a leadership position in ATTR-CM.
HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT
Build the framework along with the Patient Engagement Lead and Brand Team for Pfizer’s Leadership in the ATTR CM Community.
Translate understanding of patient landscape & dynamics into strategic imperatives for:
BU to LT
Commercial colleagues
Teams across patient advocacy, national accounts, customer solutions & resources for PN.
Directly engage in a partnership with public affairs BU lead regarding communication of activities with the ATTR-CM community.
Directly managing relationships with ATTR-CM organizations currently in the Patient Engagement team.
Identify the select "critical few" priorities and mobilize robust cross-functional work streams requiring leadership across marketing, sales/KAM, public affairs, and medical.
Lead partnerships with national and regional organization focused on Black/African American cardiovascular equity.
Support advocacy-driven HCP participation in national and regional forums to advance patient awareness of ATTR-CM in the African American population.
Lead advocacy initiatives that address disparities in HF awareness, ATTRCM suspicion, diagnostic pathways, and ‑long-term‑ patient support.
Build and sustain partnerships with national and community-based‑ organizations that represent patient voice, lived experience, and health equity‑ priorities.
Lead advocacy engagement for the Patient & Advocacy Summit aligned with HFSA timing, ensuring programming centers on patient experience, equity gaps, and actionable solutions.
Identify and engage advocacy organizations, patient experts, and caregivers.
Translate summit insights into actionable HF and ATTR‑CM initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
Experience / Skills
This colleague will possess and apply a thorough understanding of our product portfolio, each customer’s aligned business priorities and how both are being impacted by the market evolution to develop effective customer engagement strategies and tactics.
BA/BS with 8+ years of experience.
Marketing, Account Management, Leadership or similar level experience.
Pharmaceutical commercial experience (including account management, sales, marketing, business operations).
Experience working successfully in a matrix environment
Significant experience in the Specialty Care marketplace, with an understanding of how to frame complex challenges to the organization with a solutions orientation
Skills: The ideal candidate will possess
Ability to generate deep, targeted customer insights and integrate into business decisions.
Ability to align customized solutions to brand priorities to ensure focus on strategic execution of the operating plan.
Demonstrated initiative, strong strategic and leadership skills.
Solid analytical and strategic thinking; ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level.
Ability to synthesize complex information and distill critical customer-driven insights to drive brand performance.
Ability to work effectively in a customer and brand-based environment and partner with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong project and process management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize/multi-task effectively.
Nice-to-Have
MBA/MS with 7+ years of experience; OR PhD with 5+ years of experience.
Experience in ATTR is highly preferred.
Other Requirements
Broad understanding of Pfizer’s Specialty Care Businesses and relationships with commercial partners.
Exhibit strong collaboration/relationship-building skills and ability to engage across multiple functions at a senior level.
Experienced in communicating and interacting with external stakeholders is desirable.
