Do you love working with databases? Enjoy the process of revealing a story through data analysis? Are you passionate about using research to formulate a recommendation? As a Analyst with the Network Compensation and Planning team you will work closely with the other Analysts to monitor compensation related performance as well as model data from a variety of sources to support the overall analytical and planning responsibilities associated with our Network compensation portfolio of programs and incentives. You will be asked to contribute to the development of tools, techniques, and processes which evolve our understanding while safeguarding the organization’s data and following strict governance protocols. You are innovative, collaborative and have a desire to help decision-makers understand what the data is showing. You develop and run test scenarios; code and monitor applications and programs. The ability to learn quickly and use technology effectively is essential. You are that rare but celebrated combination of an autonomous and self driven independent analyst, yet also comfortable to package and present data into simple concepts and conclusions to aid others to understand and buy-in. More specifically, you will be required to:
Identify, input, analyze and interpret data to support decision-making
Help identify and analyze Network compensation and performance information needs
Lead activities that complement creation and execution of incentives and promotions using statistics and modelling best practices
Produce analysis, action plans and ensure information quality
Deliver compensation related reports and make presentations to leadership based on sound knowledge of business intelligence solutions, and field data and synthesized input from multiple stakeholders
Drive and deliver postmortem analysis with an eye to ROI conclusions
Update databases and suggest improvements to optimize database quality and efficiency

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of five years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
Advanced proficiency in business analytics
Intermediate knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry
Intermediate knowledge in SQL and/or SAS
Beginner knowledge of the Desjardins Agency Network (DAN) and the Agency distribution platform
Beginner knowledge of Agent facing sales and servicing tools and systems
