The Learning organisation comprises all the capabilities required to deliver the end-to-end learning lifecycle from identifying skill & knowledge gaps to delivering a high impact learning & KM experience.

You’ll be part of the Deep Water (DW) Nigeria Learning team; whose purpose is twofold:
Firstly, to protect value at the Asset and deliver against our table stakes by ensuring that Compliance and Competence Assurance processes run to expectations at Asset, as agreed with the local business stakeholders.
Secondly, to create value at the Asset by understanding the local business needs, as part of the HR team, and leveraging the global learning solutions portfolios to deliver learning locally. This will include formal Learning (e.g. courses, assessments, blended learning), informal Learning (e.g. Nuggets, Portals, external learning sources), and KM solutions to support learning in the flow of work.

Key Accountabilities:
· Partner with your Business & HR stakeholders to understand the business priorities, skill gaps, learning & Knowledge Mngt needs, create annual plan in alignment with broader DW Strategic Learning plan and prioritize value.
· Support and provide inputs to the DW Learning Manager on strategic learning & KM needs for DW Nigeria
· Support ‘Foundational, Core to Compete and Differentiated’ Organizational Capabilities by leveraging the global learning portfolios in leadership, technical, commercial, and essential skills.
· Ensure delivery of the learning & KM annual plan considering what is already internally available via the global learnings portfolio and/ or consider other options like buying market standard, bend existing learning & KM solutions when designing impactful learning experiences (pulling on expertise and resources from broader Learning org)
· In limited situations, deliver upskilling/ courses yourself
· Driving together with the DW Nigeria business a workforce which can operate safely, compliant with local regulations and Shell global standards by giving advice on learning competence assurance options and ensuring that the Competence Compliance Assurance (CCA) processes run for your population to the levels agreed with local asset stakeholders. And aligned with the global Shell Learning CCA Governance.
· Understand the national, local and site regulations and standards affecting your population and ensure the right learning portfolio is available to them, working with learning operations and local partners to ensure delivery.
· In close collaboration with Nigeria HR, coordinate and manage the Nigeria Governmental Development fund and regular report status.
· Act as an active champion and role model on Learning Culture in the respective learner communities
· You will ensure that the capability needs of your population, identified with the Business and HR team, are delivered and measured using leading and lagging indicators as much as possible, and fit for purpose.
Key Skills:
· You will bring relevant experience to the table, either as a Learning/OD/HR/ Talent professional where you can apply your skills to building capability in the subject area or as a technical/business professional where your network and knowledge can add value.
· The ability to work ‘cross boundaries’ and build up business knowledge or vice versa learning knowledge credibly and with speed will be critical
· If you are a Technical Professional, you will have a good network at the asset/function with knowledge of the asset/function activities. A willingness to learn about the profession of Learning is a must.
· If you are Learning Professional, alongside your professional expertise in Learning & KM needs analysis, build/borrow/buy, curation, planning, change management, delivery and measurement, you must be willing to invest time to rapidly build domain knowledge and a network across the function or business.
· You will bring an outcome focus and ‘from the business back mindset to the role. You are comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and have a passion for integrating and collaborating across organisational boundaries. You challenge the status quo and drive for simplification.
· You bring a Learner Mindset, a curiosity to learn and grow, learn from mistakes, successes, and speak up openly in a safe environment.
