Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for an Advisor, Government Relations, reporting to the Senior Manager, Government Relations.
A bit about your role
As the Advisor, Government Relations, you will play a pivotal role in supporting nbn’s efforts to identify and action opportunities for regulatory and legislative reform. This is to position the organisation as a sustainable commercial enterprise.
This will see you preparing strategic briefings, monitoring legislative developments and providing high-quality advice to inform policy formulation and implementation. You will coordinate inputs across internal teams, manage deadlines and ensure leaders are well-prepared for external engagements. Your work will help ensure government engagement is timely, consistent and aligned with nbn’s regulatory priorities.
A bit about you
You are a confident and collaborative communicator with a background in government relations, public policy or ministerial environments. You bring strong stakeholder engagement skills and are comfortable partnering across diverse internal teams to deliver outcomes that matter. Your ability to think critically, identify opportunities and translate complex information into clear, well-written briefs makes you a trusted advisor.
You thrive in fast-paced environments and are motivated by purpose and impact. With a proactive mindset and strong organisational skills, you navigate competing priorities with ease and maintain focus on strategic goals. Your background in Telco or other regulated industries will be highly regarded, and adaptability and commitment to excellence will set you up for success in the role.
