We are currently looking for an Advisor, Energy Policy and Planning to join our fast-paced team! In this position you will contribute to planning activities, support various regulatory applications, develop internal policies and procedures, and prepare submissions to government on energy policy.

What you will do:

  • Perform technical analysis related to energy policy, support the development of related insights and procedural documentation to ensure sustainment of associated processes.

  • Read, interpret and analyze energy related policies and regulations and identify impacts for Enbridge and customers.

  • Provide technical expertise related to energy policy to internal partners including Regulatory, Finance, Customer Care, Government Relations and Public Affairs, etc.

  • Support development of evidence and witness preparation for Ontario Energy Board regulatory filings/proceedings related to energy policy.

  • Coordinate and/or provide input on energy policy/sector submissions to government.

  • Coordinate internal meetings related to energy policy and planning. This includes preparing agendas, delivering presentations, and leading and delivering presentations during the meetings.

  • Participate in discussions with external partners such as the Independent Electricity System Operator, the Canadian Gas Association and other utilities.

Who you are:

  • University degree in Engineering, Science, Business/Commerce or Economics.

  • A minimum of 4 years of proven directly related experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Engineering designation (P.Eng or EIT), project management, regulatory experience, and/or a background in gas system planning is considered an asset.

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Only for Ontario: The salary range is $86,000- $95,000 CAD. The final Compensation will be settled based on the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
